Hey All!

As most of you know, I’m Julie your Northland Admissions counselor! But that’s probably about the gist of what you know besides the fact I’m a college student and a girl!

I’m a military brat so my family has moved around a lot but for the past 10 years, we have been in the wonderful state of Colorado! I have two brothers and two sisters all of which are older than me except one of the brothers. My two older sisters are graduated from college while my older brother and I are at Northland and my little brother finishing his last few years in high school. My family is spread out right now with all of us getting older but when we do get a chance to be together it has to be one of my favorite times -

reminiscing about growing up and still learning to get a long with four other siblings you love to death for different reasons!

For fun I love reading, being active (running J), hanging with friends, but I still do love and need (as I’m sure we all do) that time alone to think and pray!

I accepted Christ as my Savior at 13 but while some of my change was from God’s working in my heart a lot of my actions were motivated by growing up in a Christian home and knowing what to do rather than believing and wanting to do right. Despite my struggles, God was gracious in keeping my heart still sensitive to Him! The end of my junior year God really started doing a work in me but even through my Senior year and graduation I still was holding on to different things. At my moms request I came to Northland, halfheartedly wanting to be here. Every since the moment I got on campus God has been changing me in ways that I thought I would never want to or be able to have a heart for doing!

That is just a little bit about me so I’m not a totally stranger J I look forward to getting to know you all as well!
